Description

CAPRAN® 980 is a clear (low haze level), heat-stabilized flat cast film produced from a modified nylon-6 resin. It is available in widths to 88 inches in thicknesses of .002, .003 and .005 inches.

Application

Flat cast film is recommended as a bagging film for advanced composite fabrication and other high-temperature applications where dimensional stability, adherence to sealant tape and uniform film gauge are essential. In addition, CAPRAN® 980 has excellent heat stability and resistance to pinholing.

CAPRAN® 980 can be used at temperatures up to 400°F (205°C) for typical composite cure cycle times.
