Description

CUREPAD is a non-cured "B-staged" non-silicone rubber that can be formed into complex shapes to assist in the even application of pressure on assemblies. CUREPAD should be used where normal bagging procedures cause difficulty in preventing bridged conditions in the film. It should also be used where normal bagging procedure could cause unwanted mark off on the assembly.

CUREPAD is a not a silicone product and requires a release media between the rubber and the assembly being cured.

Application

CUREPAD should be used where it can assist in the even distribution of cure pressure and where a high quality surface is necessary. CUREPAD can be used many times after the material has been formed to the desired shape during the original cure of the assembly. CUREPAD can be used as pads for tooling pins, sharp edges, etc. Interleaving with a fiberglass cloth during the initial forming can reduce the effects of shrinkage during subsequent cures.
