Description

SHRINK TAPE II is an oriented polyester tape designed to shrink during the cure cycle and apply pressure to the composite lay-up or adhesive bond.

Application

SHRINK TAPE II is normally wrapped over the laminate on the mold and pressure sensitive tape put in place to prevent movement during cure. The assembly is then exposed to heat and the SHRINK TAPE II begins applying pressure (onset of shrink) at 175°F(79°C) with maximum shrinkage at 400°F (205°C).
SHRINK TAPE II is available with or without perforations or release agent coating.
