Description

TOOLCOAT S/T is a skived Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) tape, with a high-temperature pressure sensitive, fully cured silicone adhesive or acrylic adhesive.

Application

TOOLCOAT S/T with its high conformability allows TOOLCOAT S/T TFE tapes to be used on severely contoured bond jigs and lay-up molds. Its properties make it inert to almost all chemicals, corrosives and environmental factors. TOOLCOAT S/T eliminates the need for liquid or paste release coatings on tool surfaces that may be potential contamination problems, and is especially useful on composite tools and press platens. While TOOLCOAT gives optimum release, other applications are flash control, heat-sealing machines, covering of coating and drying rolls, chute lining, linings for guide rails, and any other non-stick, low friction applications.
